Saint Paul Jaycees Recognized for Outstanding Community Programming
During the 2008 Minnesota Jaycees Annual Convention,the Saint Paul Jaycees were awarded the Henry Giessenbier, Jr. Memorial Award. This honor is given to the Most Outstanding Chapter in the State for its community service, fundraising, and membership achievements.
The award is named in honor of Henry Giessenbier Jr.(1892-1935), the founder and first President of The United States Junior Chamber, which was established in 1920.
The Les Farrington Best 100 Art Exhibition invites St. Paul high school students to submit original artwork to be judged by a panel of from the art community. Selected works are exhibited and scholarships awarded. Volunteers are needed throughout the next few weeks to help with the delivery and check-in of art submissions.
