Saint Paul Jaycees
Recognized for Outstanding Community Programming
The
Minnesota Jaycees awarded the Saint Paul chapter the
Henry Giessenbier Jr. Memorial Award for the "Most
Outstanding Chapter in the State," for its community
service, fund-raising, and membership achievements
in 2005 during the Minnesota Jaycee Year End Celebration
January 27-29, 2006.
The award is named in honor of Henry Giessenbier Jr.
(1892-1935), the founder and first President of The
United States Junior Chamber, which was established
in 1920.
"Minnesota Junior Chamber chapters of this
caliber do not simply happen, but they are a product
of hard work, intestinal fortitude, and commitment
that is derived from young professionals and those
seeking professional development all across the state,"
said Greg Green, 2005 Minnesota State Jaycee President.
